About the Multan Board board result

BISE Multan is among the oldest boards in Punjab and has an unusual place in the province examination history — several boards that exist today were originally part of its jurisdiction. It covers Multan, Khanewal, Vehari and Lodhran districts. The 9th class result 2026 will be announced on 2 September 2026 at 10:00 AM.

Board history and background

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Multan was established in 1968 and originally administered a vast territory across southern Punjab. Over the following decades, portions of that jurisdiction separated to form BISE Bahawalpur and BISE Dera Ghazi Khan, and territory that now falls under the Quetta board was also once within its remit. What remains is a compact four-district board serving south-central Punjab.

Districts covered

Four districts fall under BISE Multan: Multan, Khanewal, Vehari and Lodhran. Multan city, one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements in South Asia, anchors the board and hosts most of its larger schools. The surrounding districts are predominantly agricultural, and candidate numbers from rural tehsils have grown steadily as secondary school access has expanded.

2025 result performance

BISE Multan recorded a pass rate of 52.53 percent in 2025, the second highest among Punjab boards. This fits a broader pattern that has emerged over recent years in which southern Punjab boards have outperformed their central Punjab counterparts, a result that runs contrary to what regional economic indicators alone would predict.

How to check your Multan Board board result

The Multan board portal is reasonably robust but shares the province-wide problem of first-hour congestion on result day. Enter your roll number in the checker above for an immediate answer. For SMS, send your roll number to 800293. Students in rural Khanewal, Vehari and Lodhran where connectivity is inconsistent often find SMS the more reliable option.

After the result

Detailed marks certificates are distributed through schools within four to six weeks of the announcement. The board accepts rechecking applications within a defined window after the result. Supplementary examinations for uncleared subjects are typically held in October.

Passing marks and grading

Like all Punjab boards, BISE Multan Board requires a minimum of 40 percent in each individual subject for the 2026 examination. This replaced the earlier 33 percent threshold. The requirement applies per subject rather than on aggregate, so a strong overall percentage does not compensate for a single subject falling below the line.

Grades follow the standard provincial scale: A+ for 90 percent and above, A for 80 to 89, B for 70 to 79, C for 60 to 69, D for 50 to 59, and E for 40 to 49. Below 40 percent is recorded as Unsatisfactory, terminology that replaced the word Fail from the 2026 session.
